Morning All

I'm sure most of you will agree that this cold weather is not good for our bones Sad

I went back to work last week after being off since October with a flare, I was aching at the end of the week but today is bad, everything hurts Sad I sat on the bed and cried, really could do with staying at home but I must go to work. Although only working 10 til 2 today. Really hope the bus is warm this morning.

I've taken naproxen & co codamol this morning so hopefully that will kick in soon.

Sorry for moaning on a miserable Monday morning Sad

Take care everyone & keep warm

Lou xx

Wub hello Lou
Please don't feel alone, we are all here for listening.

Ra does not know when to behave.
How are things in general? I didn't find it easy returning to work with pain and fatigue. There is no rules with ra only to pace yourself and rest when you can.

Are you able to get in a bath for a warm soak?

The cold weather isn't good but rheumy consultant says cold weather doesn't effect ra.

Sending you hugs Wub

Hi Jane

Thank you. Do feel a lot better than I did earlier. Although my blood test results from last week have confirmed my esr has increased from 39 to 59 Sad

It's funny as my consultant has said that about the cold weather but I know of so many people who say the cold affects their joints.

I do find it hard being back at work, so tired. I keep nodding off on the bus!!

The atmosphere in work isn't great either, as there will be a lot of redundancies this year and most of us are affected. Sad

Hope all is well with you, have you been back in work long?

Take care
Love Lou xx

Hi Lou

Don't apologise for moaning- that's what we're here for!!!

I've also been told that cold doesn't affect us- but beg to differ. Mind you, I had a flare on holiday in Italy last Summer- warm weather and nice and relaxed, too, so I don't know what happened there! It sems that there is no logic to this RA.

Sorry to hear that the atmosphere at work isn't good- not a comfortable situation to be in.

Take care- and keep warm!

Maria

BigGrin Hi Lou
I returned to work end of September on 2 hours a day....slow build up, work doctor cut me down because he said I'm doing too much and foot swelled up.
Now I'm on full 6 hour shift 5 days a week=30 hours a week. I'm driving myself because I'm very independant and have a daughter that gives me strength (sounds corny, she's my gem)!Wub

Also, I feel so aware that I'm off again for knee op - so worried/wish why can't I have magic fairy dust sprinkled gently on me!when I go back to work my 2 sicknesses and bradford score warrants me to go on an action plan ggggrrrrrrrrr - disability escapes the public sectorThumbDown

I do the lottery in hope I could give up work...one day maybe!

You have a lot going on with redundancies as well - they can't get rid of you because of sickness/disability.
I'm lucky to drive, I'd be like you and asleep if I used buses there is something about bus journeys making me close my eyes!LOL

Dorothy
Need to buy more wheat bags, my hubby has a habit of burning them by ignoring the instructions and making sure they are hot!Razz
At work there are 2 microwaves - sadly not clean at all.
I shall look on amazon for a flat microwave hot water bottle.
I have normal hot water bottles, I don't let my hubby help me fill them up because he has habit of putting boiling water in and its melted on me in bed - men and instructions again!Tongue I do try to do this on my own but its heavy to hold jug and bottle, I think a microwave one depending on price looks good.
At least you are warm and toasty!

Could do with wheat bags down my wolley tights for my feet when I'm out!

Jane
